Hello, and happy Screenshot Saturday! This time, we've been working hard on cutscenes! And yes, getting his ass is the fruits of my labor.



So! How do we make cutscenes in HYADES? Well, the first step is to have the right tools! Usually this means setting up a couple of dummy "characters" in the scene which are easier to manipulate than the party members themselves, and making an environment from the tiles we've made already!

From here, it's writing dialogue, moving people around, setting up expressions and posing, little emotion bubbles... It takes a surprising amount of work to put everything in motion! It's an RPG, so it's important to me to take time to really get this little stuff for the story right.
